Gold Filled Care Instruction
To ensure your jewellery last long, it is very vital that you keep it dry. Do not bathe or spray perfume on your jewellery as chemical reactions with chlorine and other elements such as perspiration can result in tarnishing. Gold filled jewellery do not go well with humidity and it is important that you store it in the air-tight jewellery box.
**Do not swim with your jewellery.
**Do not keep your jewellery in the bathroom.
**Do not put make up, hairspray or any lotion in contact with your jewellery as they may contain harsh chemicals that might damage your jewellery eventually.
** Avoid salt water, chlorine, heavy detergents and cleaning agents.
** Silver can be kept from blackening by placing it with a small piece of camphor.
Care Instruction for all Gold/Diamond/Gem Jewellery
Clean gold jewellery with a soft and clean piece of cloth. Add turmeric powder and apply to the jewellery – rob gently with a clean cloth to give a sparkling look. Alternatively, apply a small amount of toothpaste and rub for two or three minutes with a baby brush – wash off with lukewarm water.
Never brush diamonds with a hard toothbrush. Use a soft cloth or a baby brush. Gems can lose their sparkling if exposed to constant direct heat – sunlight.
Do not use household bleach with chlorine to clean your jewellery.
And lastly, ensure that your jewellery is always the last item on and the first off at the end of the day.
